A Throwback to Pio’s First Birthday Party

Note: This birthday party was held last July 2019 at Radisson Blu in Doha, Qatar.

Pio will be turning two tomorrow. Yehey! For the past few days, I’ve been looking at his photos and contemplating how time flies so fast. He was just a little baby last year, and now, he is already a toddler who’s entering the terrible two stage, and I hope that I am ready for that.

If COVID was not a thing this year, we would be having a small party with our families and friends here in the Philippines, since when Pio turned one, they were not able to attend it since the celebration was held in Qatar. This is the reason why I wanted to share with you again through this post some of the photos and the video, which you will see at the end of this blog, of his first birthday party last year, with the theme vintage travel.

This was at the entrance to welcome the guests.

This was how they set up the room.

This was the stage. I love all the details and the way they designed it.

Here’s a closer look of the backdrop.

This was the cake. We were a bit hesitant to eat it because we did not want to ruin the design. Beautifully made and the taste was really good. It was a chocolate cake by the way.

This was the cute design on the guest’s tables.

Game prizes and souvenirs. I did the one on the right. Tep bought the airplane container from Al Rawnaq and I filled it with chocolates.

The birthday boy with Papa and Mama.

Solo pic of the birthday boy. #piolakwatsero

Family picture of course. During this time, I already know that I am pregnant with Migo.

Another family pic. During his birthday, he kept on doing that pose. Maybe he’s pointing to heaven, thanking the Lord for his first birthday.

These were the food along with some macaroni and vegetable salad.

The desserts. Fruits and bite sized cakes.

Singing Happy Birthday to Pio.

The gifts Pio received. Thank you so much.

And of course, a picture with our family in Qatar. Thank you guys for coming and celebrating with us.

It was a memorable first birthday. There were fun and entertaining games, the kids danced the famous Baby Shark, the food was good and most of all, everyone enjoyed.

As promised, sharing with you once again a short clip of his party.
