About MI

Hello there!

I am Maria Ingrid. My family and friends call me Ingrid or Chie, but when I started this blog, people began calling me MI, which is totally fine. I am a wife to a loving husband named Tep and a mother to 3 adorable boys namely Matteo (who is now an angel in heaven), Pio and Migo. I am a CPA by profession and I used to work in one of the Big 4 Auditing Firms in the Philippines, until I realized that the stress and pressure of working in an audit firm was too much for me to handle, so I decided to quit and help in running our family’s construction business instead. Then at the beginning of 2012, Tep was offered with a job opportunity in Qatar. After a few months, I followed him and we agreed to stay in the country and work for a few years until we have enough savings.

Upon my arrival in Qatar, I initially thought of starting a blog, so that I can write and document our lives in a foreign country. But that was put on hold since I became busy with work and in adopting with our new lives. It was only in 2016 when I finally pursued creating the blog which I named Wander with MI.

 

About the Blog

Wander with MI became my little space on the net where I write about my personal experiences and advices on those things that I am interested with. Initially, I was writing more about our lives as expats in Qatar, as well as our adventures and dilemmas on our travels. I have also included some reviews about the food and restaurants that we have tried. But when I got pregnant again in 2018, I thought of sharing with you as well my journey and learnings on motherhood.
