Motherhood | My 9 Month Pregnancy Journey

Seven years have passed since I gave birth to Matteo, our first born baby. Over those years, a lot of people thought that we were having issues and difficulties in getting pregnant again, but the truth is, I was not ready emotionally and I was so afraid that the same thing might happen to our next baby. Last year, I must admit that I was pressured because I felt that my time is ticking, I am on my 30s and most of my married friends already have babies, some of them even have two. Whenever I see them playing with their kids, I knew then that I wanted to have one. I remembered praying to God, telling Him to be in control of everything. If having a baby is part of His plans for us, then let it be, but if not, we will accept whatever it is that He has in store for us.

Then, just before 2017 came to its end, we received one of the greatest blessings, I am pregnant and the monthly journey towards motherhood began.  Continue reading “Motherhood | My 9 Month Pregnancy Journey”

Dim Sum Brunch at Shanghai Club, Shangri-La Hotel Doha

I have always been a fan of dim sums.  When I was still living in the Philippines, it was very easy to find a Chinese restaurant that serves authentic dim sums in different varieties, whenever I want one. But here in Qatar, it is a bit tough, though there are restaurants here serving this that can at least satisfy your cravings.

One of these restaurants is Shanghai Club, located at the Shangri-La Hotel Doha. Every Friday, they offer Dim Sum Brunch priced at QAR 238 per person and an additional QAR 112 if you opt for unlimited drinksContinue reading “Dim Sum Brunch at Shanghai Club, Shangri-La Hotel Doha”

My Ichiran Ramen Experience in Japan and at Home

If you would ask a tourist where they want to eat ramen in Japan, Ichiran restaurant would always be included on the list. I was so intrigued on my why this restaurant is making a fuss, so when I went to Japan with my sisters and friends last April, I made sure that it is included on our dining list. It was in Osaka when we first checked it out, we eventually backed out when we saw the long line of people who are craving to dine there. It didn’t surprised us though, since when you are in Japan, you really have to queue in order to get in to famous restaurants, especially during meal times. We learned our lesson, so we always make sure that if we will eat on popular places like this, it should be on odd hours.  Continue reading “My Ichiran Ramen Experience in Japan and at Home”
